What role does titling your artwork play? Do you need to have titles?

This In-Person, interactive session is sure to engage you as we explore the process of giving your artworks intriguing titles… Don’t miss this opportunity to share ideas, meet new artists, & gain different perspectives on the meaning/opportunities/challenges that titles can have.

Be sure to bring 1-3 pieces of your art, finished or in progress, part of a series or a single work, any medium. If your work is not portable, contact us for other options. Other topics

  • Are there pros and cons to the range of titles that you use?
  • How do titles invite or turn off your audience?
  • Your chance to receive direct feedback on your titles.

Speaker(s): Leah Siegel, artist/photographer & owner of Shadowlands Design. Leah has many years of experience in the artworld & is currently a board member of Santa Fe Artist Medical Fund. Wendy Stein, Regional Manager WESST Santa Fe Northern New Mexico Women's Business Center. Wendy has spent most of her career as an entrepreneur, most recently as a copywriter. Prior, she worked in the fields of education, health and wellness, international development, and video game development. She is a Toastmaster, a Returned Peace Corps volunteer (Lesotho), an improvisor, a traveler, and is growing her skills as a wildlife/nature photographer. She holds a B.A. in Studio Art/Graphic Design from Michigan State University and a M.S. in Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
