Artist Think Tank Spotlight: Art to Build Bridges with shiloh burton

What makes art transformative?

How can art be more accessible, inclusive, and participatory?

Fee: $10

Discover these answers and more as we introduce a special guest to this Artist Think Tank Spotlight. Meet shiloh burton, an artist serving as a conduit, space provider and bridge.

They will share their approach to working collaboratively, making art as social practice, as well as honoring the transformative power of art. In this workshop they will discuss:

  • Important points to consider to make art more accessible and inclusive
  • The role of “culture maker” and “participant in culture” and how to do more
  • The role of story and the transformative power of art
  • Collaboration, artist collectives and their experience with social practice art making
  • Getting creative with funding to spend more time making/sharing art

We created a Zoom space for artists - like yourselves - to learn, ask questions, and have conversations about topics in the business-of-arts. This is your chance to connect with your peers, at all levels of expertise.
