We’re excited and honored to introduce Vicky Streeter, the proud owner at Streeter Strategic Solutions, art collector, needlework artist and lifelong shopper. Credentials aside, a life spent travelling, living and working around the world has given her a passion for shopping for art and things handmade because there are so many interesting and amazing artisans out there.
One of her greatest passions is encouraging people to buy works that speak to them, are a lasting vessel for a memory, or just useful. She also makes and sells her family's needlework. She’ll share valuable information from the buyer’s perspective, including:
Why the art is worth it to the buyer
Two types of buyers - luxury and casual - and tips on the approach for both
Recognizing when customers want to buy something
What to do when the customer is not always right
Necessity of origin stories for your art

Speaker(s): Vicky Streeter -- is a Santa Fe based art collector, lover of handmade goods, personal shopper, and a U.S. Navy Veteran who has lived life on the edge of luxury in the USA and overseas. In between shopping wanders, she currently works as a Program Management Coordinator at Modern Elder Academy. Growing up she spent a lot of time in Europe and the Middle East and travelled the world in the US Navy for 30 years. From fine art she saw in the Louvre as a child, to the beauty of finely hand painted porcelain from Japan, or the work of master weavers in Peru her experience has instilled her with a love for art in all its forms. She understands how art makes a difference in a collector's life. Whether an experienced collector or someone just starting to appreciate having beautiful things in their home she wants to share some reflections on connecting with customers.
