The Basics Of Using And Drafting Contracts

FEE $10

Many of us have made business agreements with others based on their word or a simple handshake. This is okay when everything works out for both parties, but what happens when a problem or disagreement arises? Contracts help protect both parties from possible legal issues and lawsuits. They also provide clarity about what will be expected from each party involved in the arrangement, which helps eliminate any confusion about responsibilities or expectations.

Join us for this online workshop where participants will learn the importance of good written contracts and the basics of preparing them.

Key points include:

  • What written contracts are good for
  • How to write a good contract using mostly common sense
  • Aspects of contracts that are not common sense
  • How to manage risk allocation
  • Best practices for working with a lawyer and self-evaluation of current liabilities
