Addressing Mental Health Concerns for Small Business

In today's COVID environment, it's critical that small business owners keep the mental health and well-being of their employees in mind, especially in times of immense stress and anxiety. In this session, we'll examine the law and some best practices for addressing mental health concerns in the workplace. Topics include:

  • How can mental health issues disrupt a person's ability to cope with day-to-day life, impact their relationships, and negatively affect the workplace?
  • How does poor mental health affect the way people think, feel, and behave?
  • What employee mental health conditions may qualify for certain protections under federal, state, and local laws?
  • How to address these potential staff mental health issues confidently and effectively

Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities and language assistance services are available for limited English proficient individuals. Please notify Brad Crowson at 505-892-1238 when you register for the class, or no later than 24 hours prior to your class, so that WESST can make sure necessary accommodations are available. All programs and services are provided to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis.
