WNM 2026 Walking Between the Two Worlds of Business
Join us virtually on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Zachariah Ben, owner of Bidii Baby Foods and part of the team at the Farmington Women's Business Center will share his Entrepreneurial Journey Story.
“This presentation highlights the journey of a Navajo farmer and entrepreneur navigating the unique agricultural landscape of the Southwest to scale Bidii Baby Foods, LLC. It details the transition from facing the complex regulatory and governance challenges of farming on the Navajo Nation to strategically expanding onto 40+ acres of fee land in Aztec, New Mexico. Through this move, the business successfully scaled its operations to provide healthy, indigenous nutrition and aggregate heritage foods from neighboring Navajo farming communities. Crucial to this growth is a powerful hybrid model—combining the LLC structure with the 501(c)(3) BEN Initiative—which not only fuels commercial expansion but also drives the Farmer in REZidence program to empower youth to build their own agricultural brands. Ultimately, the session serves as both a roadmap and an inspiration for regional entrepreneurs in Northern New Mexico and the Navajo Nation, proving that innovative structuring can overcome systemic barriers and foster sustainable food access.”
