A manufacturer is anyone who takes raw materials and transforms them into a finished product—whether you are hand-pouring candles in a home studio, silversmithing custom jewelry, or overseeing a high-volume apparel printing facility.
This training celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit at every stage of the journey. We welcome all levels of business, from the hobbyist to the "solopreneur" to the small business crafting their first prototype, to the established women business owner ready to scale operations. If you make something, you are a manufacturer.
Join WESST Farmington Women's Business Center and New Mexico Manufacturing Extension Partnership IN PERSON on June 1, 2026, from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.
No matter your current scale, this program provides the tools to professionalize and grow your production:
• The "Manufacturer" Identity: Shifting your mindset from "hobbyist" or "crafter" to "industrial entrepreneur."
• Scaling with Intention: Using the Business Model Canvas to see how a small-scale process can evolve into a regional or national brand.
• Product Development: Learning how to document and refine your "secret sauce" into a repeatable, efficient production workflow.
• Resource Optimization: Identifying the key partners and tools you need right now versus what you’ll need for your next 1,000 units.
Make sure to bring your business cards! Light lunch will be provided.
