This session introduces the foundations of starting a business, tailored to the unique opportunities and challenges of REZ-based entrepreneurship. Participants will explore different business structures, learn the importance of planning and financial basics, and discuss how cultural values and community needs can shape strong, sustainable businesses. The session also highlights key resources available to Indigenous entrepreneurs, including WESST’s Native Women Rising program, tribal business offices, Native CDFIs, and mentorship networks.
Interactive discussions and activities will help participants connect business knowledge with community-centered values, leaving each person with clear first steps toward turning their ideas into action.
