Clear, well-crafted policies and procedures are essential for small businesses to operate efficiently, remain compliant, and foster a positive workplace culture. This session is designed to help small business owners understand the importance of HR policies and how to develop and implement them effectively.

Participants will learn:

  • The key components of essential HR policies (e.g., attendance, code of conduct, anti-discrimination, safety)
  • How to create an employee handbook tailored to your business
  • Legal considerations and compliance with federal and state labor laws
  • Best practices for communicating and enforcing policies
  • How policies support consistency, fairness, and risk management

Whether you're just starting out or looking to formalize your HR practices, this session will provide practical tools and templates to help you build a solid HR infrastructure that supports your team and your business goals.
