Small business entrepreneurship is the idea of opening a business without turning it into a large franchise, store, or having multiple locations. Many indigenous people unknowingly operate a business both on and off the reservation on a daily basis, selling goods and services with locally made products developed at home. A single food stand, housekeeping and janitorial services, landscaping, or small online retail shop to sell your handmade goods would all be an example of small business entrepreneurship. There is a way to take your craft, hobby, or passion to make extra income for you and your family. The first step is learning what a business is and how to properly manage one.
Join the WESST Farmington Women’s Business Center Native Women Rising program on zoom, Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm as we explore virtually an Introduction to Business.
