As a small business owner, can you do your own bookkeeping? The answer is yes, bookkeeping can be both self-taught and formally learned. Many individuals start as self-taught bookkeepers, using online resources, books, and software tutorials to understand the basics of accounting principles, financial statements, and bookkeeping software.

In this class you will learn the following:

  • Choosing a financial tracking system to your comfort
  • Establish a list of accounts to categorize your income and expenses
  • When to record transactions regularly:
  • Categorizing transactions
  • Double-entry bookkeeping vs single entry
  • Bank statement reconciliation:
  • Generate financial reports
