WNM 2025 Native Business Just Start It: Marketing Essentials

Wed, Feb 19 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Topic: Managing a Business

Native American entrepreneurs often face challenges such as limited access to capital, lack of infrastructure, and regulatory hurdles due to the unique legal status of reservations. Cultural barriers and historical marginalization also play a role, making it difficult to gain the business knowledge and networks necessary to succeed.

Creating a sustainable business from scratch is never easy—especially for those with fewer mentorship opportunities and a lack of seed money behind their project. And yet many of the most successful Native American entrepreneurs have built thriving organizations with relatively little outside support.

The Farmington Women’s Business Center Native Women Rising program is here to help you start and grow your business. Join us on zoom for a 6-week program centered around native entrepreneurship and small business. We will discuss topics such as business model development, business planning, marketing strategies, social media, tracking your finances, and more.

Each course will be centered around experiences, ideas, values and beliefs to help identify common entrepreneurial pitfalls, and you will have to opportunity to gain small business skills and tools to assist you in launching your very own business.
