Bookkeeping is a core part of business finances and can impact the growth and success of your small business. It can encompass a variety of tasks — from basic data entry in a software platform to working with certified public accountants — and is the backbone of your accounting and financial systems.
This class is an intermediate bookkeeping class and is for new business owners that are ready to take the next steps with bookkeeping. In this class we will show you the nuts and bolts of simple bookkeeping along with best practices. The following topics will be covered:
- Chart of accounts
- Determine how you will record transactions
- Keeping records of expenses
- Tax obligations
- Budgeting
