Topic: Managing a Business

Have you learned about different software tools that you can use to start and grow a business? Our very own WESST client Frankie Soto, owner of Bosque Mobile Bicycle Repair LLC started a business during the pandemic which caused a bicycle boom. It has been almost two years and Bosque Mobile Bicycle Repair LLC is the most popular bicycle repair business in Albuquerque. Starting a business has made Frankie understand the importance and effectiveness of having an online presence especially when you do not have a physical store location. Frankie began his small business journey using the Square software on his desktop computer, where he learned about the different software tools that he could use to grow his business. Most people know of Square as a point-of-sale software. A lot of small businesses use it for taking credit card payments.

Did you know Square has more features and functions beyond credit card payments? In this class we will review the different software services of Square. Talk about the pros and cons of the software. Tips and tricks. Cyber security when using Square. How to find written and video learning materials. My main focus will be on the website design, website data, different types of payments you can accept and Square loans.

Frankie currently uses Square to set up online appointments, take different types of payments, loans, banking, send marketing emails, manage and build websites, website data, collect payment data, and connects directly to your QuickBooks.

“Hello I started a mobile bicycle repair business by parking my car near the most popular bicycle path in Albuquerque fixing flats. Started the business during the pandemic which caused a bicycle boom. It has been almost two years and I am the most popular bicycle repair business in Albuquerque. Starting a business has made me understand the importance and effectiveness of having an online presence especially when you do not have a physical store location. There are more software tools that are available such as inventory management, employee time management, and selling products online. I don't use them because they don't apply to my business. The software is free but to get more advanced tool features you have to pay for them. The cost is worth the quality of the software. Depending on your personal business needs you may or may not need it. “
