Fri 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Topic: Managing a Business

According to the World Bank, female entrepreneurs make significant contributions to economic growth and to poverty reduction around the world. In the United States, for example, women-owned firms are growing at more than double the rate of all other firms, contribute nearly $3 trillion to the economy and are directly responsible for 23 million jobs.

Female-run enterprises are steadily growing all over the world, contributing to household incomes and growth of national economies. However, women face time, human, physical, and social constraints that limit their ability to grow their businesses.

Join us on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11:30 am for a virtual brown bag discussion on Female Entrepreneurs: Why Gender Matters.

In this class we will discuss barriers and challenges that women face starting and growing a business. The WESST Farmington Women’s Business Center invites you to share your experiences as a female entrepreneur as we will host a round table discussion in this class.

Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities and language assistance services are available for limited English proficient individuals. Please notify Janelle Henry at jhenry@wesst.org when you register for the class, or no later than 24 hours prior to your class, so that WESST can make sure necessary accommodations are available.
