Celebrate Earth Day with us and discover these answers and more as we introduce a special guest to this Artist Think Tank Spotlight. Meet Suzie Fowler-Tutt, an Abiquiú artist working in multiple mixed media disciplines.

She’ll share her approach to gathering raw materials, why she’s driven to work with recyclable materials, and how her work and life are intertwined in the choices she makes as a consumer. Meet her and network with others interested in improving sustainable practices.

Artist Think Tank Spotlight

Speaker(s): Suzie Fowler-Tutt is a high desert folk artist; her work includes a variety of mixed media genres to include weaving, painting, collage, jewelry, and ceremonial pieces (smudge wands, prayer sticks, bells, and rattles). Whichever discipline she's working in, Suzie focuses on upcycling and the environment. This includes using recycled yarn, rummaging through trash, or foraging for natural materials in her desert surroundings.
